Who we are
The team
We are a team of two staff employed by the council, through Home Office funding. It is our role to co-ordinate the prevention of, and intervention and enforcement relating to, anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the Royal Borough.
The team consists of Gail Lumsden - ASB Co-ordinator and an ASB Case Officer (the post is currently vacant but being rectruited to shortly).
How we work
We work in partnership with other agencies in the Windsor and Maidenhead Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) and in the local community. We are also involved with Neighbourhood Action Groups (NAGs), and work with NAG members to reduce any ASB in their local areas. We use a wide range of information to identify the ASB hotspots in the borough, and we share this data with our partners in order to effectively tackle ASB.
We hold monthly multi-agency case conferences in the Windsor and Ascot area, and also in Maidenhead. At each meeting we discuss recent cases of ASB, known perpetrators and local hotspots. Suitable interventions and actions are agreed, and each agency has an active involvement in reducing the problems that are occurring.
Our work is overseen by the Community Safety Executive Group, which consists of senior managers from local partner agencies, including the Superintendent of the Local Police Authority (LPA) and directors of local housing associations.
