Duncan Dimbleby
Hi my name is Duncan Dimbleby and I'm your Community Warden for Datchet, Horton and Wraysbury and have been in post since September 2008.
I am in the area most days during the week where you will see me in and around the villages either on foot, bike or in a vehicle. I regularly patrol the area with my PCSO colleagues ( Police Community Support Officer ) and work out of the Datchet Beat Post, above the library, where I can be contacted or arrange to meet you. If you see me when I'm out and about then please do come and say hello. Alternatively, I can be contacted via the details listed below.
My main roles include :
* Regular patrols providing a uniformed, reassuring presence on the streets, parks and open spaces.
* Provide a recognised local contact with the borough and the many different council departments.
* Help deter crime and anti-social behaviour.
* Tackle environmental problems such as littering, fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles and graffiti.
* Issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices ( FPN's ) for a range offences.
* Report suspicious activity and Intel to the Police.
* Work closely with my Neighbourhood Police Team and local Housing Association's to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
I always try to attend community events such as the village fairs in the summer and work with community groups, schools and the NAG ( Neighbourhood Action Group ) on local projects that foster social inclusion, community safety or provide activities for young people. I'm here to assist residents in any way I can and if I cant help you directly then I can normally point in the right direction.
To contact me you can either phone me on 01628 685636, or e-mail : duncan.dimbleby@rbwm.gov.uk
I look forward to seeing you when I'm out and about.
Duncan.
