Andy Aldridge
Andy Aldridge is the borough's senior community warden - he took up the post in April 2009.
Having previously worked as a police community support officer for Thames Valley Police in Slough and then Windsor for nearly three years, Andy has knowledge of neighbourhood policing and the benefits of community partnership working.
Before this, Andy worked with children with learning and behavioural problems, helping them integrate into mainstream schooling and doing intervention work to support their learning,
Andy says: "I am pleased to be involved in community-focused work and my new role as senior community warden offers me and my team a chance to really make a difference to people's quality of life. I have a really enthusiastic team with some great project ideas which will benefit different groups and members of the community."
The community warden team which is part of the Community Safety Section works alongside the borough's anti-social behaviour team and this helps issues and problems to be resolved faster and more efficiently. The team is also committed to ensuring feedback is given to individuals as to what we have done and how we will endeavour to stop problems reoccurring.
Andy lives in Uxbridge and enjoys sport, film and Italian food.
