Drug and Alcohol Action Team
Who we are
The Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) work together with their partners to effectively treat, prevent and reduce drug use in the borough. A comprehensive range of services are provided for young people, adults and their family and friends.
Funded from central government, the DAAT aims to achieve the goals set out in the new strategy which runs from April 2008 to 2018. The Strategy can be found by clicking on the following link, http://drugs.homeoffice.gov.uk/drug-strategy/overview/
The DAAT provide free drug and alcohol training for anyone working in the borough. (Workers from outside the borough may attend - cost per delegate £35 + VAT).
The programme offers a wide range of 1 and 2 day courses from the basic to more specialist subjects. Training is open to anyone who would benefit from a general knowledge of substance misuse even if it were outside of their main role. The training flier is available for downloading at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, please refer to our publications section, drug and alcohol action team, to download the training schedule.
