Elderly residents' garden set for a makeover by green-fingered scouts

It will be trowels and spades at the ready when community wardens and members of the 2nd Datchet scout troop work alongside residents of Moores Court to transform an area of the communal garden.

Duncan Dimbleby, community warden for the area, said: "We thought it would be a nice idea to get some of the local scouts to help the residents give the garden a refresh, as some areas have become a little overgrown and in need of a bit of TLC.

"The residents were really keen to work with the young people and it all went from there.

"I am sure the garden will become an area to be enjoyed by all the residents, particularly those who can't get out that much who can see the garden from their rooms."

Photographers and reporters are warmly invited to attend.
